As an wedding officiate, this is only a portion of the wedding day to ensure your day is to be a legal marriage in Ontario, Canada.
Once you have secured your wedding venue, cater, photographer and florist, you should then consider booking a wedding officiate.

There is some opportunity to schedule sooner depending upon the day and time, weekdays are more flexible in scheduling

In 2022 with love and gratitude, I was able to officiate 28 weddings currently scheduled as of March 1st, 2023 I have 11 weddings, 6 of these are Indigenous Traditional Weddings.

The average length of time is 20 minutes, however, a wedding ceremony can be as short as 15 minutes and as long as 30 minutes and the beyond 30 minutes.

The planning of your wedding vows, exchange of rings, introduction, special readings, and announcing the new couple, I am able to provide many suggestions based on experience, intuitively knowing and understanding your wishes, to create a one of a kind memorable day.

Absolutely you are able to write your own vows, and you can read them to each other.
I may wear a white stole, that has a embroidered pink lotus flower OR the 2nd white stole that has and embroidered blue triangle.

I dress with colors that blend to the colors of the wedding party, the grooms men, and will discuss my professional wear with you during planning.
You would apply for your marriage license NO SOONER then 3 month PRIOR to your wedding date.
The license is only good for 90 days prior to expiry.

There is a number of required documents you will need to take with you when you apply for your license.
Application is done at your city/town clerks office.

The Couple gives permission and shall allow The Officiant to post a photograph(s) of them with The Officiant on The Officiant’s website for viewing by the internet community. The Couple acknowledges that this is for promotional purposes only and they do not expect to receive any composition of any kind. There shall be no expiration for this permission.

The Officiant gives permission an shall allow The couple to use any photographs, videos, or other recording media in which the officiant is in, or part of, in any manner or for any purpose they wish.
This agreement and attachments constitute the entire agreement between the parties and may not be modified except in writing signed by both parties or by the acknowledgment of e-mail received by both parties.

In Ontario you can only (3) three groups that can legally solemnize your wedding ceremony.
These are:
  1. Religious Official (Ordained and Active Minister Listed on the Service Ontario Officiates)
  2. Justice of the Peace
  3. Ontario Municipal Clerk

The Marriage certificate is the record of a marriage, it has the date, place of the marriage and the names of the people that were married.
The record of solemnization of marriage is not the same as the marriage certificate, to receive the marriage certificate, the marriage is registered by the official that performed the marriage, this is done when the completed and signed marriage license is sent to Service Ontario.

It may take up to 6-8 weeks before you can order a marriage certificate.

I am ordained with the Canadian International Metaphysical Ministry and the International Metaphysical Ministry (USA).

As a metaphysical minister I encourage couples to create a ceremony that is a reflection of their commitment, love, faith, culture and religion, in that I am able to offer officiating.

The License for Marriage is an application that needs to be completed by the individuals that are wishing to purchase a Marriage License to be married in the province of Ontario.

You will need to bring with you:
  • your identification (birth certificate, current passport, records of immigrant landing or Canadian citizenship card
  • if you have changed your name you will need to bring this along as well the document
  • photo identification documents for both the bride and the groom
  • The Marriage License is obtained by you to contact your City/Muncipality Clerk Office in the location of the marriage or that which is closer.
  • You WOULD not obtain a marriage certificate application for another province that you are not being married in, the province of marriage and that of the location closest to the wedding is where the application is to be applied at.

  •  The record of solemnization, this will be given back to you, and the signed marriage license will be sent to the Registrar General Office Thunder Bay by the brown envelop you received when you registered your marriage at the town/city clerks office.
  • When you marriage license is sent to the Registrar General Office you will not receive notice from the government or any documents that confirm the marriage license receipt.
  • The Certificate of Marriage, you MUST order this, IT WILL not be mailed you unless you request this information. 
  • The Provincial Government website will have all the information for you to apply for your name change, and certificate of marriage.
  • The wedding officiate DOES NOT HAVE THE RESPONSIBILITY to purchase your wedding license OR to order your marriage certificate.

The Registrar General of Ontario can answer questions.

As an Licensed Officiate we are responsible to mail the completed Marriage License to the Office of the Registrar General in Thunder Bay within 48 hours of your wedding.

The Record of Solemnization is removed from the Wedding Registration and given to the couple on the day after all signatures have been completed and the wedding ceremony is completed.

It is important to apply for the official Marriage Certificate within 12 weeks following your wedding.
YOU need to apply for the Marriage Certificate to receive one. This can be done online and payment done through online payment to the Office of the Registrar General of Ontario.


You as the wedding couple agree:

The Officiate may waive the late fee charge, as his/her discretion. No refund will be given if The Officiate is not able to perform the ceremony because of any delays beyond the stipulated time period. If for ANY the ability of The Officiate to wait more than 30 minutes will be solely at her discretion.

If The Couple wishes to void this clause and reserve The Officiate’ s services for the entire day, there will be an additional $150.00 charge, and this must be agreed upon according to the availability of The Officiate at the time of contract signing.
The Officiate warrants that she is a professional, recognized as a legally ordained Reverend and Minister, full qualified to officiate wedding ceremonies and solemnize the rites of all marriages in Ontario, Canada ordination with the Canadian International Metaphysical Ministry.

The Officiate will provide the following services under the terms of this agreement:
A contract reserving the date, time and location of the wedding ceremony as indicated above will be sent via email to The Couple.

Creation of the ceremony.
Two weeks prior to the wedding, a member of The Couple will receive a final check-in zoom meeting to reconfirm all aspects of the ceremony and list all items which will be needed on the day of the wedding.

The Officiate shall complete the marriage license and file (mail) said license in accordance with the instructions set forth by the jurisdiction from where the license was obtained.
The Couple understands that they must obtain a marriage license at the appropriate jurisdiction of which the ceremony will be performed and shall provide said marriage license two weeks prior to the wedding date to The Officiant to review an execute on the day of the ceremony. Via hand delivered OR Registered Mail to The Officiant’s address.

The Couple has been informed and fully understands that if a valid marriage license is not presented with government issued identification to the officiate before the ceremony is performed, the officiate cannot perform a legally valid marriage ceremony.

The Couple shall not change the date, time or location of the wedding as listed in paragraph one of this agreement without first contacting an advising The Officiant of said change so as to determine if The Officiant is still available to perform the ceremony. The Couple also understands and recognizes that The Officiant performs other wedding ceremonies for other couples and such change of date, time, or location without first notifying The Officiant, or any excessive lateness (30 minutes and over) of the originally scheduled wedding ceremony time may prevent The Officiate from performing the ceremony.

Another option is to have the marriage license the day of your wedding to The Officiate (1) one hour prior to your wedding ceremony at an extra cost of $75.00 for early arrival to complete the license prior to your ceremony.


All rehearsals are scheduled a week prior to the wedding date and The Couple must request this in advance. The Couple must pay the rehearsal fees at time of contract signing. the couple will be subject to an additional fee of $150.00 for travel and rehearsal hour. Should the rehearsal go over the hour time allotment or start late, The Couple will be subject to pay $75.00 for each half hour and is do the evening of the rehearsal upon completion of the rehearsal.

All travel expenses should be included in the total ceremony cost and need to be paid 2 weeks prior to the ceremony. All parking fees and entrance fees to your venue are to be paid by The Couple and shall be included in the total ceremony cost and shall be paid 2 weeks prior to the ceremony.

ADD ON CEREMONY ITEMS:

The Couple accepts responsibility for purchasing items needed to perform any of the smaller ceremonies that they may wish to include in their ceremony (i.e. Unity or memory candles, wine, roses, sand, breakable glass.) These items may be shipped to The Officiate as a convenience to out of town couples. If The Couple requests any special provisions from the officiant, these details should be submitted in writing no later than three weeks prior to the ceremony date.
GENERAL PROVISIONS:

The Officiate will arrive at the wedding location 30 minutes prior to the time of the wedding ceremony, and 30 minutes prior to any scheduled rehearsals. The Couple fully understands and agrees that The Officiant shall not be responsible or held liable in the event The Officiant is prohibited from performing The Couple’s wedding ceremony due to illness, hospitalization, auto accident, transportation breakdown/ disruption, traffic difficulties, acts of God such as hurricanes or inclement weather or other unforeseen incapacitation or other cause of non arrival on the day of the ceremony.

The Officiant will make every attempt to notify The Couple and to provide a substitute officiant who can perform a wedding ceremony if time and resource is permit. In any event, the officiate, their agents and assigns shall not be how liable for any composition or any damages (including punitive) due to non performance of any ceremony/function resulting from such incapacitation's, non arrival, errors and/or emissions of any type.


No other representations or promises have been made except those that are set out in this agreement.
If any part of this agreement is adjudged invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining part shall not be affected and remain in full force and effect.

All payments will receive a invoice.

CREDIT CARD payments ARE NOT accepted.
To reserve the above date, a non refundable deposit in the amount of $150.00 shall be remitted.

If The Couple does change the date, time, or location of the scheduled wedding ceremony, and The Officiant it is unavailable to perform the ceremony, then The Officiant reserves the right to cancel the performance of their ceremony and shall in no way be held responsible or liable in any manner whatsoever for non performance or a refund to the couple.

If The Officiant can still perform the wedding ceremony on the new date, time, and location, then this agreement shall be cancelled any new agreement entered reflecting the new date, time and location.

The Couple agrees to pay The officiant a date changed ceremony performance fee of $150.00 plus any mutually agreed upon additional services and/or travel expenses outside of the set location noted above.


The balance of the ceremony fee remaining, must be paid, two weeks prior to the wedding date noted above. If payment is not received two weeks before the wedding date, then time and date reservations are cancelled it may be booked by other parties, without exception and without notice.

Payments are non-refundable, should reservations be cancelled with 60 days or less remaining before reserve date, payment in full is required to avoid legal action.

The deposit of $150.00 must be paid in advance and is required, along with a signed contract, to book a date and time for the wedding. Deposits are non-refundable should the wedding be cancelled for any reason.

This deposit will be applied to rescheduled ceremonies only if The Officiant is available.
Fees are based upon amount of service time provided. If services go beyond the outline details (i.e. extensive phone calls, e-mail communications, or delays with start of the ceremony) additional fees will be addressed accordingly at the rate of $75.00 per hour and are paid prior to the signing of the marriage license.

You will receive a notice (via e-mail or mail) acknowledging receipt of the deposit and confirming your booking date and time. A hard copy of this document in its entirety will be returned to you within 30 business days only if you so request.
